CORROSION SPECIALIST CP4 - OWNER

ROSS JORDAN

Ross holds NACE Certifications for Cathodic Protection Specialist, Coating Inspection, and Corrosion Technologist. He has over 20 year's of experience in the corrosion field and started in construction installing and surveying cathodic protection systems associated with underground storage tanks (USTs) all over the Midwest back in 2003 while serving 6 years in the US Army NG. Soon after starting he became a foreman of the CP installation crew running a Simco Earth-probe 200 drill rig off the back of a rusted out '93 dually F350. Hauling a broken concrete job trailer all over the place with his buddy Brian, the two became experts at changing trailer tires on the side of highways with no emergency shoulders.  Fueled by gas station roller-dogs, a dream, and full-strength Monster energy drinks he decided  to obtain his NACE CP1 and CP2 certifications before getting a position with a professional Corrosion firm out in California where he worked as a corrosion technician for 6 months before taking a management position in Salt Lake City, Utah.

In SLC Ross managed CP construction and survey projects for 2 years before taking a position in Bakersfield to manage a corrosion team in the central valley of California after obtaining his NACE CP3 certification. The corrosion team was never provided though - so Ross spent 4 years working with Shell Pipeline as a third-party contractor. This turned out to be great experience for the owner/operator side of the corrosion industry as he had previously only served on the contracting side of things. He also used this time to obtain his NACE CP Specialist and coatings certifications prior to moving to a specialist/senior engineer position in Atlanta, GA.

In Atlanta GA Ross was the lead designer on numerous large design projects for both pipelines, facilities, wharves etc. He also served as one of the primary field testing specialists all over the nation when clients had complicated pipeline interference or corrosion issues.

After 4 years in Georgia, Ross decided it was time to return home to Iowa. A-Line Corrosion was started in Iowa in 2023.  Since then A-Line has completed numerous corrosion survey and construction assistance projects, providing materials & consultation specialist services to some of the nation's largest pipeline contractors.

Ross lives in a 100 year old house that's falling down around him with his wife, his nephew, and too many damn dogs. In his decreasingly spare time Ross likes to mountain bike, read, and noodle on the guitar/drums, and throw darts with the boys at the brewery. He also begrudgingly works around the house replacing windows, plumbing, building tables and other handyman goals that he is tasked with.

PROJECT MANAGER - CP2

BRIAN SCHRECK

Brian Schreck began his career in the corrosion industry 20 years ago on the same installation crew as Ross, running the drill rig off the back of a much nicer 2004 Chevrolet 3500. He ran the CP installation and survey crew as the foreman for roughly 4 years while he obtained his NACE CP1 certification. Shortly afterwards during a particularly cold Iowa winter while struggling to get the drill rig started or water lines freed up, Brian made the well-advised decision to move on and took a position as a senior corrosion technician in Utah where he completed his NACE CP2 certs along with numerous survey and construction projects for an environmental firm.

After a short 1-year stint as the corrosion technician he moved on to Los Angeles where he served as a Senior Corrosion Technician for a large professional corrosion firm for 4 to 5 years. There he completed surveys, troubleshooting, trained other technicians, and completed advanced testing projects such as the track to earth resistance testing for Phoenix, AZ light rail system.

When Ross moved to Atlanta as a senior engineer/corrosion specialist he recruited Brian as his right hand man to help develop an engineering team. They spent 4 years working together as a team in the southeast completing design/testing projects, and training technicians/engineers but were hindered by corporate policies, layoffs, and downsizing/restructuring.  While in Georgia, Brian was the project manager for the office and handled numerous large-scale projects such as pipeline construction projects for Garney around the Dekalb/Cobb/Marietta counties. The pipeline construction projects consisted of routine inspection visits and circulating current testing. He also completed surveys for just about all of Duke Energy's facilities in the Southeast.

In the corporate-run office of the southeast, Brian was routinely utilized to handle complicated field tasks at a moments notice that others could not be entrusted to handle. Brian was soon called upon for his knowledge of the industry and accepted a position as an estimator, calculating budgets for large-scale corrosion & construction projects.

Brian moved back to Iowa to join the A-Line Corrosion team early 2025 and has helped with every facet of the tasks presented to A-Line from estimating, project management, installation, and surveys. Brian and Ross are now developing a highly-talented and respected design and field-service corrosion team to assist contractors or owner operators in executing their projects.

Brian lives in Iowa with his dog, Nancy. Brian likes golf, fishing, range-time, and mountain biking. He even broke his collar bone during a downhill MTB race in Keyesville, CA back in 2016. He can be found at the brewery throwing darts with the boys after work.

CORROSION INTERN

CALEB BLACK

Caleb has shown real entry-level prowess for the work related to the corrosion field, taking time to study, ask questions, and has a real willingness to go as far or get as dirty as is needed for the team to complete the project. The only complaint the team has is that sometimes he doesn't bring condiments back with the burgers on his lunch runs.

Caleb was recruited to the team by Ross, Ross has known Caleb & his father for 20 years as they served in the U.S. Army NG together. Caleb's dad, at time of writing, is currently serving an 18-month deployment in Iraq.

Caleb takes direction well and is safety and goal-oriented. He is attentive and keep good records and has all the necessary building blocks of a great corrosion technician or specialist. He is scheduled to take his CP1 in March 2026.

Also, Caleb was a collegiate-level switch-pitcher, throwing from the mound with either his left or right hand and is also a killer golfer if you're looking for a best-ball scramble teammate. He's getting married next summer in 2026.

ADMIN

ADAM ACKERSON

Adam served over 20 years with the Air Force going on five deployments over seas before retiring with a rank of E-7.

Adam naturally has an attention to detail after serving as a full-time aircraft mechanic for F-16s and F-35s. He has caught on quickly to the intricacies and minor details as they relate to the corrosion industry.

Adam lives in Wisconsin with his two sons. He's a Milwaukee Brewers fan and he sucks at darts.
